It’s that time of year again! The iconic Sun Fun Festival returns for its 69th edition, heralding the start of summer in Myrtle Beach. Mark your calendars for May 10-12, 2024, as Plyler Park on Ocean Boulevard becomes the epicenter of three days filled with excitement for the whole family. Experience the thrill of the US Army Golden Knights Parachute Team as they make spectacular landings on the beach, including a pyrotechnic jump on Friday night and two awe-inspiring performances on Saturday. Prepare for the excitement as the 35th Annual Run to the Sun Car and Truck Show roars back into Myrtle Beach from March 14-16, 2024, transforming the Old Myrtle Square Mall into a paradise for classic car enthusiasts. Showcasing over 3,500 pre-1989 cars and trucks sprawled across 56 acres, this event promises an unforgettable experience for the 10,000 spectators expected to attend. Hosted by the Pee Dee Street Rodders and the City of Myrtle Beach, the show has consistently sold out to car registrants, highlighting the enduring appeal of vintage automobiles. Participants compete for prestigious awards such as Goodguys Awards and Sponsor Picks, with proceeds from the 50/50 Raffle benefiting The Children’s Miracle Network at McLeod Children’s Hospital.

Adding to the excitement are special guest appearances by Tom Wopat, known for his role as Luke Duke in “The Dukes of Hazzard,” and The Blues Brothers, featuring Stan and Bob Hammond as Jake and Elwood Blues. With show hours from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily, visitors can enjoy shuttle service from Myrtle Beach Pelicans Stadium courtesy of Coast RTA city transit buses.
